2013-14 Panini Prizm Black Mosaic Giannis Antetokounmpo Tops $1 Million
A second Giannis card from his rookie season has topped the million-dollar mark. The 2013-14 Panini Prizm Black Mosaic Giannis Antetokounmpo netted $1,168,500 when bidding closed early Sunday morning in Goldin Auctions’ 2020 Holiday Auction.
It’s a one-of-a-kind parallel for one of Antetokounmpo’s most popular Rookie Cards.
BGS gave the card an overall grade of 9.5 based on 10 subgrades for corners and edges, and 9.5 for centering and surface.
This card follows the sale of Antetokounmpo’s 2013-14 Panini National Treasures Logoman Autograph in September for $1,857,300. This is also a one-of-one.
This was one of two 2013-14 Panini Prizm Basketball Giannis cards to sell for huge amounts at auction over the weekend. The Prizms Black Autograph, also a one-of-one, went for $384,000 through Heritage Auctions.
The card is graded a Gem Mint 9.5 by BGS. It has subgrades of 10 for centering and edges and 9.5 for corners and surface. The signature got a grade of 10 as well.
Also of note, selling this weekend through Goldin Auctions was a PSA 10 2013-14 Panini National Treasures Giannis Antetokounmpo Rookie Card. It sold for $553,500. The autograph patch card is numbered to 99.
