In case you haven’t noticed, there has been a run on Precious Metal Gem cards lately. Much of that has been focused on the Marvel Universe where Spider-Man cards are being bought and paid for at incredible prices. However, it’s not just Marvel cards. In fact, Skybox and Metal Universe PMGs have been drawing big money for over two decades. So, the recency bias for the Marvel cards may overshadow the sports side of things, but don’t let that fool you. When it comes to PMGs, even the “lesser” names can pull big money, and the same can be said for lower grades as well. Now, let’s get Zoned In On PMGs.

Zoned In On PMGs

Target Locked

This week we were Zoned In On PMGs. The five cards I shared above were just to give you an idea about just how sought-after these cards are. Of course, names like Jorand and McGwire are going to pull big money, However, names like Curry and Del Negro are real head spinners. Keep in mind that these are recently sold examples. The list of currently available graded PMGs reads much the same way. Names like Natrone Means, Tom Gugilotta, and Bert Emanuel are all live and will sell.

Thanks for checking this week’s Zoned In brought to you by Go GTS Live. If you missed last week’s edition we were Zoned In On Alex Ovechkin. We would love to hear from you as well. Please leave a comment and let us know what players you would like to see covered.

As a collector rather than an investor the run up in prices on these has been infuriating. Numerous players that I need for my PCs have gone up so much in price recently that they aren’t attainable anymore… Unless I win the lottery, that is.
