Topps Project70 Checklist, Artists and Details
Topps Project70 uses art to bring together classic card designs and baseball players past and present.
More than 50 creators are working on the baseball card set, which will be made available throughout the year on Topps’ website.
Don’t Call It a Sequel
While not a sequel to Topps Project 2020, there are definitely some similarities. The big one is that a roster of artists are going to be reinterpreting Topps baseball card design from the past.

But rather than everyone sticking to the same cards, artists have some choice in the players and the sets they want to revisit and reimagine. But it’s not necessarily doing an artistic spin on an existing card like Project 2020. Creators can remix a design of their choosing with a player as they please. For example, collectors could see current stars on designs from the ’50s and ’60s. That’s not necessarily new but the art side is definitely different than Heritage and Archives.
According to Topps, “Each collaborator crafts their own story, selecting their own MLB subjects & Topps designs.”

All together, there are 51 artists working on Topps Project70. That’s more than double the 20 from Topps Project 2020. Virtually every Project 2020 artist is back. New collaborators include creators who not only work in a variety of styles but mediums as well, like sneakers and figures. And then there’s Snoop Dogg, one of the biggest names in music over the past 30 years.
Topps Project70 Set Details
By the time Topps Project70 wraps, each creator will do 20 different cards. New drops will be made on Topps’ website daily with each card being available for 70 hours to fit with the “70” theme.
Cards cost $19.99 each or $49.99 for the a day’s three-card bundle. Discounted prices are available for individual cards with bulk orders of five and ten copies.
Collectors can also find cards on eBay. During the pre-sale window, this could mean discounted rates as sellers buy in bulk and charge a little less than buying a single card direct.
Fifty-one artists doing 20 cards each means a potential checklist of 1,020 cards.
Three levels of parallels are available. Rainbow Foil (/70) and Gold Frame (1/1) will both be sent out randomly within the cards’ print runs. Artist Proof cards, which are numbered to 51 and have silver frames, will also be available but sold separately.

Some cards also have additional elements attached to them. For example, for his Ken Griffey Jr. card (#12), The Shoe Surgeon included a pair of one-of-a-kind custom Nike sneakers as a giveaway for someone who purchased on of the cards.

Those that collect all of cards from any of the artists will receive a print from Topps upon the project’s completion that has 20 cards on it. The gold-stamped prints are exclusive to artist set collectors. To qualify, you need to order directly from Topps with the same account for all 20 cards.

I saw Ermsy confirm via Instagram as well, thanks for the info as always Ryan!
Thanks, Drew! Got him (and Efdot) added.
Keith Shore announced that he’s in on Instagram
@Matthew – Thanks!
JK5 confirmed on his Instagram also https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/18135663025149114/
Thank you, Brian!
Mikael B. (Mikael Brandrup) is also confirmed for Project 70. https://www.instagram.com/p/CKeui-lncPA/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
I loved Project 2020, My collection is at least one card of each artist for a total of 132 cards plus 23 Companion Cards. I am really looking forward to see what Project 70, with so many new artists, will bring to the “plate”. I am especially looking forward seeing what Lauren Taylor’s work will look like!
Thank you Dennis…I hope you will love what I have been working on.
I’m looking forward for this set. Its wild, its pushing the envelope and the approach is what I wanted to see in Project 2020 . Creating foils for each card will definitely spike the interest.
I had hoped I would see an Aaron Judge card come out of the Project 70 set. Thank you to Lauren Taylor for doing a Judge card. It looks great!
Just ordered the Lauren Taylor Judge card. Can’t wait to get it! Any details on when they will release artist proof versions of the cards?
@Kelli – The Silver Frame Artist Proofs are sold separately. They are typically posted around the same time as the main cards but tend to sell out VERY fast.
