Topps launches aluminum Archive Print series

Topps has a new way of showcasing old classics.

Today on Topps.com, the company is launching Topps Archive Print — Aluminum Edition, a series of limited edition card and wrapper reprints on metal.

There will be 21 players showcased along with eight years of early Topps baseball card wrappers available. The player prints are $69, while the wrappers are $59 and begin with the year 1952.

The 11- by 14-inch prints are limited to just 99 copies per subject, and they will only be sold for one week on Topps.com beginning today.

    Love the Reggie card! I have his actual rookie card- and a counterfeit card that a customer tried to sell me in 1984. I bet that you own that card too, Chris, and you probably have it stored next to your 2012 Nationals Badge-as a momento!

    I ‘ll try for a Schmidt and see how they look. Card Packs look cool. These would really look good hanging in a hobby shop! Thanks.
