2017 Topps Countdown to Star Wars: The Last Jedi trading cards tap into our obsession with fan theories, movie hints and single-frame previews for upcoming blockbusters (especially those that take place in a galaxy far, far away).

Available as an online exclusive, the set is a slow drip of sorts. Released one at a time, a new card is available each weekday leading up to the December 15 release of The Last Jedi.

2017 Topps Countdown to Star Wars: The Last Jedi cards use new images that haven’t been seen elsewhere. While collectors will find familiar faces from the sequel trilogy, it also means the introductions of new ones.

For long-time Star Wars card collectors, there will be some familiarity with the front design, which mimics the look of the original 1977 Topps Star Wars set (not to mention a handful of retro-themed spinoffs in recent years).

Card backs go together to form a puzzle.

The cost falls in line with other exclusives from the Topps website, such as the Topps Now program. Single cards are $9.99, however there are discounts for bulk orders. The cheapest per-card rate is lots of 20 for $79.99, which brings the cost to $4 each.

2017 Topps Countdown to Star Wars: The Last Jedi cards are available for just 24 hours each.
