2017 Topps Now Players Weekend offers a bit of a different spin for the on-demand line. All 30 MLB teams are featured with cards highlighting the special jerseys and festivities around the special August series of games.

Team sets are available through the Topps website for one week from August 23-30. Each five-card team set costs $19.99.

Sticking with the near real-time nature of Topps Now, card fronts have an image from a Players Weekend game. The backs highlight the back of the player’s jersey. The vast majority have nicknames replacing the traditional nameplates.

With five cards per team, the full set has 150 cards. With each team set having a production run limited to what’s ordered, numbers will vary.

2017 Topps Now Players Weekend Bonus Cards

2017 Topps Now Players Weekend team sets have the potential to offer up extra cards. To unlock one, the featured team puts together a six-game winning streak between August 22 and the end of the regular season. These bonus cards will be shipped separately.

2017 Topps Now Players Weekend Relic Cards

Sold separately a short time after the team sets, relic cards feature swatches from jerseys worn during the weekend’s festivities.

Six players were included. Among them is the first Rhys Hoskins game-used memorabilia card. Kris Bryant, Ichiro and Buster Posey are some of the others who were available.

Each memorabilia card cost $80. At the very least, this meant an unnumbered Blue-Red version. However, parallels numbered to 99, 49, 25, 10 and 1 were also randomly sent out. Those numbered to 25 or less have patch swatches.

Need me a Nicky Dubs card! Wonder why no RC designation on the Hoskins card. I mean…..they put the RC on cards for players who aren’t even in the majors yet. Thanks…….
