Upper Deck Lands PHF Hockey Card License
Upper Deck’s hockey card portfolio is growing. They’ve landed the exclusive license for the Premier Hockey Federation. With it will come the first products dedicated exclusively to professional women’s hockey.
Kicking off for the 2022-23 season, the multi-year deal covers both physical and digital hockey cards. Collectors can expect not only traditional hockey cards, but NFTs as well.
“As professional women’s sports have grown across North America, so has the interest from collectors and fans for unique and authentic memorabilia,” said Paul Zickler, Upper Deck Sports Brand Manager. “At Upper Deck, we’re very excited to expand our product portfolio to include the Premier Hockey Federation to help capture history and connect PHF fans to their favorite athletes.”
“This is a milestone license for the PHF and we’re extremely thrilled for our athletes, fans, and collectors of all ages,” said Tyler Tumminia, PHF Commissioner. “We’re grateful for their commitment to the PHF and the opportunity to grow the game and inspire the next generation in a brand new way.”
Upper Deck has included female hockey players in some of their products dating back more than 20 years. Most prominently in recent years, the Canadian Women’s National Team has shared the checklist win the Men’s squads in the annual Team Canada Juniors set.
