It wasn’t long after the September, 1993 Beckett Baseball Card Monthly hit shelves that cover athlete, the late Darren Daulton, would find himself in the World Series. As summer was transitioning into fall, The X-Files premiered on TV, Steffi Graf and Pete Sampras were winning U.S. Opens and Nolan Ryan pitched his final game.

Beckett Baseball Card Monthly September, 1993 - Darrren Daulton

Looking back today, there are plenty of big names on the issue’s Hot/Cold. There’s also J.T. Snow, who had a short time in the hobby spotlight. Same with Rockies pitcher, David Nied, who just missed out on the top 10.

The big jumps on the list belonged to Mike Piazza, who went from #18 to #6 and Tim Salmon from #21 to #10.
