Derek Jeter is focus of Topps’ first Cardboard Icon series release

The Captain is the first Icon.
Retired New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is the first player showcased in what will be a new series of online card collections from Topps as it unveiled the Cardboard Icon series Tuesday.
Found exclusively on Topps.com, the collection includes 23 5-inch by 7-inch cards of Jeter — oversized reprints of all of his standard Topps cards made during his career from his first card in 1993 to his final card as a player issued this year.
Issued in two types — one is already sold out — the set can be found with Gold borders and Black borders. Each edition is serial-numbered — Golds to 49 and Blacks to 199. The Golds were $99.99 and sold out quickly, while the Black set was $49.99.
This will be an ongoing series for Topps with Don Mattingly, Paul Konerko, Ken Griffey Jr. and Cal Ripken Jr. teased.

I love this concept, although the odds of them doing the player that I’d actually shell out bucks to get are slim to none.
So when will these show up in the Beckett price guide?
