One of the most iconic superheroes will get a new trading card set. After all the dark and mysterious vigilante has done, it’s the least Cryptozoic could do for him.
DC Comics Batman: The Legend Trading Cards is scheduled to come out this winter The five-card packs will be in hobby and retail stores.
The 61-card base set will feature Gotham City’s supervillians and some of Batman’s allies.
There are also two nine-card chase sets, which showcase some of the coolest Batmobiles and secrets of the Batcave that have appeared on the pages of DC Comics.
Collectors can also look for randomly inserted sketch cards where some of the top names in comic art were used for the set, according to Cryptozoic.
“Batman is an icon for comic books and pop culture, and we are very excited to commemorate the Dark Knight and his cast of supporting characters with this really awesome trading card set,” Cryptozoic brand manager Miranda Anderson said.
Adam Beechen wrote the text for the cards. He did the same for the DC Comics The New 52 trading cards. You can read a Q&A with Beechen on the New 52 cards here.
