2020 Topps MLB NYC Baseball is a stealth promo set handed out the league’s new flagship New York store. It has just ten cards, each serial numbered to 99 copies.

The checklist is split almost evenly between top rookies and veteran superstars. Luis Robert, Mike Trout, Fernando Tatis Jr. and Kyle Lewis are among the highlights.

If the design looks familiar, it’s because it is. The promo cards use the same design as the players’ 2020 Topps Baseball cards. Even the photos are the same. However, there are a couple of small differences that make them stand out. For starters, there’s the store’s logo on the front.

On the back, the serial numbers should jump out. The cards themselves also have different numbering than the flagship versions and there’s the MLB NYC label as well.

Cards were available at the MLB shop in New York for one week — October 19-25. To get one, you had to spend $50 or more on Topps products. Cards were handed out at random. They were loose and didn’t come in any sort of holder.
