2016-17 Upper Deck Series Two Young Guns revealed

The wait is finally over for hockey collectors that have been anxious to see which players were slated to be Young Guns in 2016-17 Upper Deck Series Two. The checklist was revealed today at Upper Deck’s Certified Diamond Dealer Conference in Phoenix and posted on Twitter by Mojobreak.com.
As expected, the group of 49 prospects is led by two major holdovers from the previous release in goal scoring machine Patrik Laine of the Winnipeg Jets and budding Toronto Maple Leafs star Mitch Marner. The pair will appear together on the subset’s checklist as well.

Seeded once in every four hobby packs, Young Guns have long been established as key rookie cards by hockey card enthusiasts. This year’s group is going to be augmented by several other young talents – many of which are expected to make an impact in the coming years, including Kasperi Kapanen, Mathew Barzal, Joel Eriksson Ek, Dylan Strome, Timo Meier, and Thomas Chabot.
Another notable inclusion is Vancouver Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko, who recently sat on the bench for an NHL game and became eligible to appear on a licensed trading card. His father, Brenton, worked for Upper Deck in the past.
2016-17 Upper Deck Series Two is expected to be released on February 15, 2017.
