Onyx Authenticated plans event with New York Yankees players, prospects
By Chris Olds | Beckett Baseball Editor
Onyx Authenticated is a relative newcomer on the packaged memorabilia scene, and it’s got an event planned with several newcomers and young stars from one of the grandest baseball teams of them all.
The New York Yankees.
“An Evening with the Bronx Bombers” is set for March 11 in Tampa, Fla., with eight current members or prospects scheduled to appear. And that includes the newest Yankee of them all, Michael Pineda, who was acquired from the Mariners on Jan. 14.
Also planning to attend are Curtis Granderson, Manny Banuelos, Dellin Betances, Francisco Cervelli, Gary Sanchez, Jose Campos and Eduardo Nunez. (The lineup is subject to change.)
The two-hour event will include a dinner, a Q&A, silent auctions and autographs with players in attendance. For a $250 general admission ticket, a fan also will be guaranteed a signature from every player at the event. A $400 VIP ticket will include all of that along with a memorabilia gift bag and photo opportunities with the players as well.
