Decision 2016 Shredded Currency Donald Trump B

By Ryan Cracknell | Hobby Editor

You might have encountered people who call cards a waste of money. But what about cards with wasted money? Take it another step and add Donald Trump to said card. Read whatever meaning into that you’d like but they’re a very real part of Decision 2016 trading cards, a set that tackles the names and faces of the presidential race.

The base set has 110 cards covering the major players in the election. A total of 70 politicians are included on the checklist including Republican and Democratic front runners like Trump, Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. Spouses, influencers, and past Presidents and First Ladies are also part of the checklist.

That means people like Ivanka Trump, Joe Biden, Sarah Palin, Nikki Haley and John Kerry are also in the product. “Future Stars” of the political scene like Joaquín Castro and Cory Booker highlight where America could be heading into the 2020 election. As are recent campaign moments and debate highlights.

Hobby packs come with exclusive high numbers that expands the base set to 135 cards.

Decision 2016 Influencers Ivanka Trump

Decision 2016 doesn’t take sides. Both the Republican and Democratic parties are represented as are some of the smaller groups like the Libertarians and Green Party.

Road to the White House cards come with different letters on the front that go together to spell names.

Trump Under Fire inserts remind us of the controversial situations the entrepreneur turned celebrity turned politician has found himself connected with in recent months.

Decision 2016 trading cards are very much a modern release. They have several premium elements. Cut Signatures are inserted from Trump, Clinton, Rubio, Ben Carson and more. Some previous Presidents also have cuts. Hobby-exclusive Money Cards are the first to have shredded currency in them. Super Flags are also only in hobby packs. These have embroidered flag patches. Gem cards feature jewels placed directly on the card. Authentic State Quarter and Stamp cards have also been added.

While these are chase elements, the intent of Decision 2016 is to be both historical and educational in nature. It’s not straight-up satire like Topps’ recent Garbage Pail Kids and some other political trading cards of the past.

“There is unprecedented interest in this year’s Presidential election,” said Brian Wallos, creator of Decision 2016. “With Donald Trump joining the race and other non-traditional candidates campaigning we felt that creating a high quality collection of presidential trading cards was a natural. Not only can people learn from these cards and even make more informed decisions about whom they might support, but they will now have an opportunity to memorialize this historic election campaign.”

Wallos is also the man behind the Bench Warmer line. That said, Decision 2016 is not a Bench Warmer product. Leaf is helping distribute the hobby version.

The side of the box says, “collect the entire 110 card set” and we found cards numbered in 120s….typical for a politician to say something and deliver something else…

Blaster boxes say randomly inserted cut signature cards. Truth they’re only found in hobby boxes or so the website says…who’s right here the box itself or the websites info?

got my first two packs today from Fred Meyers. The majority of them were Influencer subset cards: Warren, Cummings, Boehner, Obama, Bill Clinton, McCain. One Finalist subset card: Cruz(wonder if this is a sign). One Future Star card: Walker(Gov. of WI). The rest base set cards: Chaffee, Cruz, Hillary and Rand Paul. I want to get all of them. Will keep all posted.

    Found 2 error’s so far. #21 Rick SANTORUM’s
Name is on the front of Rick Perry’s card- there
    are 2 # 86’s cards- O’Malley & Paul.

Will you be correcting the error’s? Where would I be able to get the corrected version of them?
Also, is there a checklist for these cards?

There is a checklist on the decision2016tradingcards.com website. #86 is supposed to be O’Malley and Rand Paul should be #88, and cards numbered higher than 110 are insert cards

The high numbers (#110-135) are part of the main set, just short prints. This is a common thing in many sports sets like Topps Heritage Baseball.

How do I get the card for the winner of this race? Saw something on it but want the card after the final votes are counted.

The walmart blaster box says look for inserted cut signatures, but the website says the cut signatures are only on hobby boxes.I wouldn’t have even bought the blasters if I would have known this.I plan on launching a full investigation plus lawsuit.

Where may I be able to purchase card holders for the odd size Political Gem and Box Topper cards?

Before I purchase a Beckett Non-Sports Card guide, is this set included? Also, is the “Historic Autographs” 2016 THE MOB set in the guide?

    WORST COLLATING EVER!
BOUGHT 12 BOXES GOIT 6 COMPLETE SETS, OTHERS WERE MISSING 5-8 C ARDS.
SOME B OXES HAVE RICK PERRY CORRECTION MOST DON’T. EMAILED MANUFACTURER GOT NO RESPONSE.
    NOT RECOMMENDED. WASTE OF MONEY.
THERE IS NO WAY TO COMPLETE SET WITH ALL CHASE,
OR IF THERE IS IT WOULD COST THOUSANDS.

Why are some cards thicker than others? I have super flag cards that vary in thickness. For instance, i just bought sf36 melania, sf 50 trump, and sf 53 bernie. Bernie and trump are much thicker than the melania. All 3 are gold foil. Are there any rumors to counterfeiting?

Anyone know the difference in the rack boxes and the hobby boxes ? I can’t find any results of what to expect out of each box? Odds of Autos, subsets , etc. Any info would be appreciated !

    Thanks !
