A-Rod is Topps’ sixth Prime 9 redemption
By Chris Olds | Beckett Baseball Editor
Topps has announced its sixth HTA Prime 9 card of the year, and it’s Alex Rodriguez who is the newest player to be part of its hobby shop redemption card program.
The New York Yankees third baseman is entering his 19th season in the majors and has 629 career home runs, placing him sixth on the career list. With his first home run of the year, he will tie Ken Griffey Jr. for fifth on the list.
All collectors who found a Week 6 redemption card in their 2012 Topps packs (two per hobby or HTA Jumbo box) can exchange their cards for the Chrome Refractor seen here at a participating hobby shop.
Topps will announce the remaining nine Home Run Legends each Friday.

PROGRAM SUCKS & TOPPS “CUSTOMER SERVICE REP (customer service is an oxymoron there) SAID “OH WELL, THATS THE WAY IT GOES…..IF YOU DONT HAVE A HOBBY SHOP NEAR YOU, TO REDEEM THE CARDS”
I don’t know where you are getting your listings from but in the Home Run Legends (Prime 9) Mays is not #1. Aaron is HRL-1 and Mays is HRL-3
I’ve brought this up before and you haven’t corrected it yet.
The info is correct. The cards’ release weeks are NOT coinciding with their numerical checklist order.
