No Waiting on Baseball Cards of the 2017 MLB Draft 1st Round Picks

The hobby’s in an age where some players make their baseball card debuts before they can drive, vote, take a swig of Budweiser, smoke or enter certain establishments. That means that when the draft rolls around, there’s lots to chase from a good chunk of the top picks. The 2017 MLB Draft is no different.
One needs to look back on Panini’s USA Baseball releases and Leaf’s Perfect Game sets to find cards of 2017 first round draft picks. Some of these cards go back as far as 2013 when they were on the USA Baseball 15U team.
Many of these early cards feature autographs and swatches of national team jerseys. Basic base cards and other inserts do exist, but these are often overshadowed by their premium counterparts.
The first cards of 2017 MLB draft picks can be expected later in the year in 2017 Bowman Draft Baseball. It wouldn’t be surprising to find many of the players in future Panini and Leaf sets as well.
In the meantime, here’s what baseball cards are already out there for the 2017 MLB 1st round draft picks.
Card totals are as of the time of the 2017 draft (June 12, 2017) from the Beckett Baseball Card Database and Price Guide. These numbers will grow in the months and years ahead.
