Collectors Have Fun in Philly at Fan Expo

With a little searching, sports, non-sports, and gaming fans were able to unearth trading and sketch cards of various types throughout the artist alley and vendor sections of the multi-dimensional Fan Expo (formerly Wizard World), held this weekend at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Central City Philadelphia.

In addition to displays and sales of all kinds of sci-fi, horror, comics, and gaming collectibles, Fan Expo serves as the go-to event for meeting and greeting name celebrities, who are more than happy to talk with fans, pose for photos and autograph event-supplied or fan-provided keepsakes, including trading cards, of course, for a nominal fee. Stars included a Star Trek contingent with William Shatner, Brent Spiner, Johnathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, and John De Lancie. Other notables in attendance were David Tennant (Doctor Who), Carl Weathers (The Mandalorian), Chris Sarandon (The Princess Bride), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Kevin Smith (Clerks), and many more.

Couldn’t make it to Philly this weekend? Philadelphia Fan Expo will return June 2-4, 2023.
