2020 Topps National Baseball Card Day Checklist and Details
The world might be in a different place right now, but there’s still a 2020 Topps National Baseball Card Day. The annual promotion returns with free cards — and an excuse to head to the card shop (not that excuses are ever needed).
This year, it takes place on Saturday, August 8. Those visiting a participating hobby shop get a free pack of five cards. There’s no strings or requirements other than visiting the store.
There are a couple of additional cards, though, to those who make a qualifying purchase. On Saturday, August 8, it’s a special Pete Alonso card. Those who return to the shop on August 15 and make a separate purchase receive a Yordan Alvarez. There’s also a third gift-with-purchase card of Mike Trout that shops can distribute as they see fit.
The full 2020 Topps National Baseball Card Day checklist has 30 cards, one from each MLB team.
Autographs are also randomly inserted in packs.
In past years, there has been separate National Baseball Card Day team sets and packs given out at MLB stadiums. That’s not happening in 2020.
