2020 Topps Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 1 Trading Card Details

2020 Topps Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 1 goes deeper into the show than any other set before it. First, there were the Topps Now cards, a couple of small releases based on Baby Yoda The Child and sprinklings of characters in saga-spanning sets. This time around, it’s a full release with a base set, inserts and the promise of one autograph or sketch card per box.

Boxes are on the small side, though. Packaged in a Mandalorian helmet tin, they have just seven packs of eight cards. This is in line with recent Star Wars Black and White products as well as Women of Star Wars.

2020 Topps Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 1 Base Set Basics

A total of 100 cards recap the inaugural season of the show. The cover key moments, action and cuteness as well as the introduction of lots of characters into the Star Wars universe.

Parallels combine to land one per pack. These include Blue, Purple (1:4 packs), Bronze (/50), Silver (/25), Gold (/10), hobby-only Beskar Armor Metal (1/1) and Black (1/1).

Due to the small size of hobby boxes, it’ll require multiple boxes to finish the set.

Autographs and Inserts

Autographs, which appear to use stickers, highlight the show’s actors. And while some of these signatures have likely been in a couple of recent Star Wars sets, overall, they’re still quite fresh.

Parallels come in Red (/99), Bronze (/50), Silver (/25), Gold (/10), Black (1/1) and Printing Plates (1/1).

Dual (/25) and Triple Autographs (/5) are also available. These have their own one-of-one Black parallels. Dual Autographs also have Gold (/10) versions).

Boxes that don’t have a signed card come with a sketch card instead. Besides traditional sketches with original are there are shaped Silhouetted versions.

Packs also come with one insert. These come in four themes, looking at the show from some different angles. Concept Art uses the illustrations shown at the end of each episode. Tools of the Bounty Hunter are all about weapons and other items used by the Mandalorian to fight creatures and capture targets. The inserts round out with Characters, and Aliens and Creatures.
