2018 Rittenhouse X-Files Seasons 10 and 11 trading cards show that the truth is still out there. Covering both seasons of the revival, it comes with a deep checklist of base cards, inserts and autographs.
Signatures combine to land three per box.
2018 Rittenhouse X-Files Seasons 10 and 11 Autographs
Autographs are the big draw in 2018 Rittenhouse X-Files Seasons 10 and 11. David Duchovny (Agent Fox Mulder) and Gillian Anderson (Agent Dana Scully) headline the list. While Anderson has signed for past X-Files sets, this is only the second for Duchovny. His signature debuted in Inkworks’ I Want to Believe set, which was based on the second theatrical film. Those autographs came on stickers making these his first on-card as the iconic Mulder.
Another name well connected with The X-Files, William B. Davis, is also on the autograph checklist. He played Carl Gerhard Busch Spender, better known as Cigarette Smoking Man.
2018 Rittenhouse X-Files Seasons 10 and 11 has several other notable autographs. Among them are a couple of Oscar winners getting their first certified autograph cards, Haley Joel Osment and Barbara Hershey.
Osment is best known for his work as a child actor with his biggest role coming in The Sixth Sense. His other films include Forrest Gump and Pay It Forward.
Hershey was one of the top actresses in the 1980s. Her credits include The Natural, Beaches and The Right Stuff.
This set also marks the first time that Lauren Ambrose from Six Feet Under has signed. Rittenhouse made a set for the show back in 2004.
Base Set and Other Inserts
The base set is 96 cards. It breaks down to six cards for each of the 16 revival episodes with images and a synopsis. Every card has a Blue parallel that’s numbered to 99. These fall two per box.
2018 Rittenhouse X-Files Seasons 10 and 11 has a handful of additional inserts. These are available at varying rates with some being relatively easy, while others more challenging to put together. X-Files Quotable has 18 cards with two falling in every box. A regular feature in many of the company’s sets, these highlight some of the most memorable quotes. My Struggle (eight cards, 1:24 packs) looks at the monologues from the tenth season’s first episode.
Other inserts include Stars of The X-Files (nine cards, 1:24), X-Files Relationships (nine cards, 1:24), Monsters of The X-Files (six cards, 1:48 packs) and the two-card Mulder Conspiracy, which is a case hit.
Incentives
Those pre-ordering multiple cases of 2018 Rittenhouse X-Files Seasons 10 and 11 can receive exclusive incentive cards. For ordering six cases, there’s a Dual Autograph with William B. Davis and Jeremy Schuetze who played Cigarette Smoking Man at various times.
The nine-case incentive may be one of the biggest X-Files trading cards of all-time, if not the biggest. It’s a dual autograph with Anderson and Duchovny. While there was a similar incentive card for I Want to Believe, Inkworks used stickers to produce it. This is the first time that bother lead stars have on-card signatures together.
An Archive Box is the 18-case incentive. The only exclusive announced for it thus far is a set of four matching Printing Plates used to produce one of the base cards.
Rittenhouse is the third company to hold the X-Files trading card license. It began with Topps in 1993 who not only made a handful of card sets but a popular comic at the time. From there, the licensed moved to Inkworks who produced more autographs and the lone memorabilia cards for the show.
