2017 Topps Now Road to Opening Day Baseball Previews Season with Lots of Team Sets

2017 Topps Now Road to Opening Day Baseball is a preview of sorts for the season ahead. Offered as team sets for every team in the majors, it’s a bit of a departure from most other Topps Now offerings.

Each team set is sold separately through the Topps website and comes with 15 cards. Some teams also have the option of buying an autographed edition that also includes a signed card.

Available through April 4, Topps is doing a slow roll out of the 2017 Topps Now Road to Opening Day Baseball checklist. This is likely to cover players and take photos as they arrive for their first practices of the season.

Individual team sets are $49.99 on the Topps website. Bulk orders of ten of the same set are $399.99.

2017 Topps Now Road to Opening Day is a different set from the main 2017 Topps Now Baseball release.

2017 Topps Now Road to Opening Day Baseball Milestone Cards

While the main team sets have 15 cards, there is a chance they could grow as the season plays out. Teams in first place at the All-Star break get an additional card later in the season. No-hitters, perfect games and batters hitting for the cycle also trigger bonus milestone cards.

Autographs

Not all teams have the autograph option. Those that do feature three cards. The only exception is the Cubs. They have four signers. Each set, which costs $99.99, comes with one of the three.

Also randomly inserted are autograph parallels numbered to 25, 10 and 1.

Promo Card

Topps mailed out a promo card to collectors, likely those who shopped with them in 2016, in time for the launch of the 2017 Topps Now Road to Opening Day online sale.

The front of the card features Mike Trout. The back has a code good for 25 percent off the purchase of one of the Road to Opening Day sets (Hint — it’s “SPRING25”).

Topps is going to announce team sets over time. When complete, each team will have 15 cards minus potential bonus Milestone cards. We will continue to update as announced.
