2016 Topps Star Wars Galactic Connexions Series 3 Checklist and Details
Part game, part blind bag collectible, related to cards and reminiscent of both pogs and dominoes, 2016 Topps Star Wars Galactic Connexions Series 3 has a lot going on.
The third set in the Walmart-exclusive line adds some new characters and parallel styles but the basic structure of the earlier releases is still there.
Each Galactic Connexions disc features either a character, planet or ship from the vast Star Wars Universe. That includes the various films and spinoffs like Star Wars: Rebels. These discs can be collected like a traditional set of cards or they can be used to play a game where players lay their discs and make different types of connections based on disc markings.
The main 2016 Topps Star Wars Galactic Connexions Series 3 checklist has 100 new discs. However, depending on where you find the packs in Walmart determines which discs are included. All packs have the first 40 discs. Discs #41-70 are exclusive to packs found in the store’s collectibles aisle. The toy aisle is the only place to find #71-100.

As for parallels, like the first two sets, there are a lot of them. All 100 discs come with three different frames. Grey is considered common, Black is uncommon and Clear is rare. All three of these have basic, Holofoil and Pattern Holofoil versions based on the sticker the image is printed on. That makes nine versions to begin with.
Ultra rare parallels come in Jabba Slime Green, Lightsaber Purple, R2-D2 Blue, Death Star Silver and C-3P0 Gold. These ultra rare discs only have one version each, not a mix of sticker styles.
A handful of specific 2016 Topps Star Wars Galactic Connexions Series 3 discs have further parallels. Luke, Leia, Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren have Battle Damage discs. Slave-I markings are done on the Han Solo and Bespin discs. Supreme Chancellor Palpatine has an Imperial Red version. The rarest of all the discs is a 14K Gold Millennium Falcon disc.
