New Jersey resident wins a day with Hakeem Nicks

Frank Rosato couldn’t believe the words being read aloud by the owner of his local card shop.
The New Jersey resident listened intently to a letter from Panini America and it seemed to take a second to soak in just what was said. Rosato was the national grand prizewinner in Panini’s NFL Player of the Day promotion.
Rosato will get to spend the day with New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks on April 27. Rosato will get a private party with Nicks, sign free autographs for fans at Attack of the Baseball Cards in Union, N.J, and get a $250 shopping spree to spend on Panini products.
“I am still in shock,” the 43-year-old Rosato said in a release. “I have been a collector since I was a little kid so it’s really special to continue collecting as an adult with my 7-year-old son Michael and 9-year-old daughter Emily. They are both hooked on football and collecting cards, so I know this experience will be truly special for them.”
More than 100,000 collectors participated in the Player of the Day promotion in more than 500 card shops last year. Many received free cards and autographs, but only Rosato gets to spend the day with an NFL player.
“The Panini NFL Player of the Day has been the hobby’s favorite promotion for more than a decade because it helps hobby shops sell more Panini NFL trading cards and rewards loyal collectors,” said Jason Howarth, Vice President of Marketing for Panini. “Although this marks the 13th consecutive year that a collector gets the chance to spend a day with an NFL player, making card collectors’ dreams come true never get old for us at Panini. We’re looking forward to spending this special day with Frank.”
At least 200 fans will be able to get a free autograph from Nicks at Attack of the Baseball Cards. Collectors can call in advance or visiting Attack of the Baseball Cards before the event.
