Contenders Draft Picks variations revealed

Panini America recently released its first collegiate product of the year: Contenders Draft Picks.
This rendition of Contenders has the familiar short-printed photo variations, in both the base set and parallels, that collectors have come to know, love and chase.
In an online exclusive, most of the photo variations have been identified and are now detailed in the Beckett Online Price Guide.
The image on the right is the short-printed photo variation.
not a fan of Panini’s effort with these. Come up with something new, didn’t we already see this design in 2014?
yeppers……..the ‘basic Panini design’ goes well with anything (basketball, soccer, women’s apparel, etc.)
Really thought that this should have been added to regular Contenders years ago. Hate that the only rookie cards in Contenders are the inserts and autos, so all you get for a box of Contenders is a massive pile of junk base vets and five rookie autos and a couple of rookie inserts.
It’s really bad when buying retail. Spending $20 for a blaster to get one rookie card and a bunch of vet base. It should be rookie card per pack with five of them being auto.
Instead we get a useless product that is the same as another product. So you are now paying double for a rookie Contenders card, Regular contenders and now draft contenders.
If you have 2 cards produced, both numbered to 99, how exactly is one shorter printed than the other?
Now if the TOTAL cards is 99, what is the ratio of sp to non?
Panini America’s Contenders brand has a long history of producing some of the most sought after and valuable Rookie Cards of our favorite NFL rookies and stars. Its formula of short prints, variations, parallels and rare autographed inserts is a favorite with PC collectors, set collectors and “Master Set” collectors. As a result of this demand, if you don’t pull what you want for your PC, every autograph, parallel and insert is easy to sell or trade.
Everyone likes getting extra. Although the box advertises 5 autographs per box, every box I seen open (on internet and in my store) has 6 or 7 autographs. With approximately 75 autographs per case and a 2015 NFL Draft with 7 of the first 15 drafted being quarterbacks, wide receivers or running backs, it is not too difficult to pull a big hit. Now add in the value for short prints, variations, and parallels and that translates to more bang for your buck.
Although I am a fan of the Panini Rewards Program, I HAVE NOT seen any Rewards Points OR REDEMPTIONS! Instant gratification.
