Topps releases Heritage High Number checklist
Update: Topps has announced the final two autograph additions and lowered that checklist from 22 to 21 players.

Topps released the final checklist for its much-anticipated 2012 Topps Heritage High Number boxed set on Wednesday, which includes some notable debut cards.
There are 22 Rookie Cards in the online-only set, according to the company, a crop led by Bryce Harper, Yu Darvish, Trevor Bauer, Yoenis Cespedes and Matt Adams. Notable veterans include Ichiro Suzuki, Andy Pettitte, NLCS MVP Marco Scutaro and several others in their new uniforms.
There will be 21 players on the autograph checklist, a crop led by the rookies Harper, Darvish, Cespedes and Bauer.

The sets will cost $99.95 on the company’s website and there will be red-ink autographs limited to just 10 copies among the autographs that will be seeded one per set. In addition, Topps has announced that only 1,000 sets will be made.
The release is the second online-only exclusive this year as it released 2012 Topps Mini — a shrunken version of its flagship set — in August.
Collectors can order a maximum of 20 sets per household.

$100 is WAY too steep for this set, even if there are only 1000 made. I hate how so many cards are unaffordable for folks on a budget.
Um, why does the checklist start at 576? Are there 75 super secret cards that we don’t know about? Didn’t 2012 Heritage go to 500?
Thanks a ton for the checklist. Bummed to see no Bundy, Machado or Skaggs but happy with the list and love the addition of Pettitte to the auto list.
Hope I snag one of the big names in my set.
Question for ya Chris, do you know if all players have the same amount of autos?
If so there would be 10 red ink autos for everyone and then only 35-36 regular autos for everyone too.

Joe Saunders and Derek Lowe arent even on the right team and Bartolo was suspended for steroids. Some qestionable checklist choices.
Grand: Perhaps they have a “living set” strategy planned later on to fill the gap at some point … could be interesting.
Jason: It’s doubtful all players’ autos will be made in same quantity. Harper and Darvish will cost Topps a lot more per sig than many of the other guys.
I’ve ordered a set. I think the quantities of each of the autographs are low enough that
Topps might not have gone on the cheap, but in any case there are the 10 “red” autographs that
you know the insane level collectors will be chasing.
Given a chance, I could see working on the base auto set.
There are guys preselling the sets w/o the autos, obviously gambling they will hit the better names.
Whatever. More rookies i can’t afford. Maybe i will go back to vintage Starwars and transformers toys

Oh boy, I can get my Johnny Damon Indian’s card! The price and the players included/not included make this set a joke.
I wrote Topps Customer Support TWICE regarding the “missing cards” #501 through #575, and their response made absolutely no sense – it’s as if their Customer Service was probably outsourced to India. It seems Customer Service is being handled by some outside Third-Party service, so their “Customer Service Department” might not have any information we need. I resubmitted my question again hoping to get an answer that made sense – no response yet. I immediately noticed this odd gap when I first saw the posting. I’m not surprised others, such as “grandcards” saw this as well!
Maybe they are counting the autos as the 25 “missing” cards?
Only 22 autos though and they are numbered above by “ROA” and the player’s initials.
Speaking of autos…any word on the 3 TBDs?

Any word on when they will ship? I thought they said yesterday, but now Topps’ site says “The week of Nov 6.”
