2014 James Bond Archives Trading Card Details
Have you ever wanted to own an Aston Martin? Or, at least a piece of one?
Well, today may be your lucky day since the hottest new release in non-sports is James Bond Archives. These cards are already creating a serious buzz among non-sports collectors.
Produced by Rittenhouse, each box contains 24 packs with six cards in every pack. The Casino Royale-themed base set has 99 cards. It is complemented by a gold parallel set that is serial numbered to 125.
Archives is loaded with inserts, relics, and autographs. There are Throwback sets devoted to such 007 classics as Thunderball, Live and Let Die and Tomorrow Never Dies (with the latter containing a special gold parallel, also serial numbered to 125). There is also a Skyfall Expansion insert set that is devoted to the latest installment of the Bond saga.
And, one would almost expect to die when seeing the prop relic cards of this release. Not only are there costume swatches of infamous Bond characters, but there are also cards that contain pieces of famous Bond gadgets and vehicles. Most notably, Aston Martins used in three different Bond films: The Living Daylights (windshield relic), On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (interior relic), and Quantum of Solace (rear panel relic).
There is also a plethora of autographs in James Bond Archives, with three actors who have portrayed 007 leading the way. They are Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan and Roger Moore. There are also plenty of Bond Girls, such as Halle Berry, Teri Hatcher and Jane Seymour. All the autographs in James Bond Archives are on-card, making an autograph hit even more intimate for collectors.
Still waiting to see a Sean Connery auto card come out.
And, for some reason, the broken glass card appeals to me. :-)
