Funko Pop Gotham Background

By Ryan Cracknell | Hobby Editor

The origin story is a cornerstone of any comic book. Heroes and villains need a backstory to become fleshed out and something more than a costumed weirdo. Gotham is more ambitious than your average origin, taking on the entire world of Batman and adding new layers. The debut line of Funko Pop Gotham vinyl figures brings the dark and brooding world to life with a set of six key characters.

Part of the Funko Pop! Heroes lineup, characters include James Gordon and Harvey Bullock, the Gotham police detectives that are a central part of the ensemble cast. With so many gangsters creating much of the conflict in the show’s first season, Fish Mooney and Oswald Cobblepot are there to represent them. And what would a Batman line be without the future hero himself? His young alter ego, Bruce Wayne is also included alongside Selina Kyle, the young lady poised to become Catwoman.

The Funko Pop Gotham vinyl figures are scheduled to release in September.

These are cool looking. It’s kind of odd there’s an article about them on this site since every other story is about trading cards or memorabilia. Hopefully somebody buys them,
