This week’s featured break shows off another company that no longer exists, Collector’s Edge who produced football cards from 1992-2000. Though they did release a few products in other sports, their main focus was football cards. That includes this set, 1997 Collectors’ Edge Extreme.

This product has some pretty good looking inserts. I also really liked the Tim Brown Foil Die Cut parallel. It’s tough to pull, too, with just one per box.

There were a couple of inserts I did not find in my box.

Finesse inserts are found 1:60 packs.

The toughest pulls of the set are Game Gear Quads, found just once in every 360 packs.

Overall, for just $29 (if you can find any boxes that cheap), this is a fun product to bust open!

I enjoy these old box breaks. I didn’t open a lot of this stuff back in the day so it’s interesting to see what gets pulled.

I just opened this box myself and found two different card #122 pictured with both Adrian Murell and another Bryce Paup and the same for card # 123 pictured with Chris Spielman and another with Neil O’Donnell. Did you come across this?
