The 2022 Topps Stadium Club Baseball variations give collectors an even deeper dive into strong photography. The product’s Image Variations take a familiar approach with the same base design, only with different shots. But when the vast majority of images already standout, these feel like more of an extension than usual.
The 2022 Topps Stadium Club Baseball checklist actually has three sets of SSPs. In addition to Image Variations, there are 1991 Design Variations and 1992 Rookie Design Variations. The latter two are simply throwbacks with their designs, going back three decades to the brand’s first two baseball releases. The photos on these are the same. It’s only the other minimalist design elements, like the nameplate, that change.
Odds and Rarity
2022 Topps Stadium Club Baseball variations are not easy pulls. When it comes to hobby packs, Image Variations and 1991 Design Variations are both 1:233 packs. According to the original Topps sell sheet, individual cards in both of these sets have 200 copies each.
1992 Design Variations are significantly tougher at 1:507 hobby packs. Based on the same sell sheet, these have print runs of 92 copies.
