2022 Topps 3D Baseball Variations Guide
On the one hand, the 2022 Topps 3D Baseball Variations jump out at you. But that’s because they’re 3D. Otherwise, they blend into the rest of the release void of any special markings or even changes to the almost-too-small-to-read fine print.
A total of 10 cards on the 2022 Topps 3D Baseball checklist have SSP versions. The majority of these are players that have cards in the flagship Series 1 or Series 2 release. The 3D base cards recycle the same image on these, so that’s one way to compare.
Three rookies, though, don’t have standard base cards to compare them with. Julio Rodriguez, Bobby Witt Jr. and Spencer Torkelson all have short prints in Series 2. Their 2022 Topps 3D base cards use different photos. So do their 3D variations.
Typically with Topps variations, the give away can be found in the fine print on the back. The CMP code at the end usually changes. 2022 Topps 3D Baseball Variations have the same code as their base counterparts.
SSP odds are unknown. Topps hasn’t announced print runs for them or how frequently (or infrequently) they land.
