2019 Topps Garbage Pail Kids: 2019 Was the Worst is an online-exclusive release that takes an irreverent look back on some of the year’s notable trends and pop culture headlines.

Things kicked off with a spoof of Joker. Other early cards poked fun at such events as September’s Area 51 “raid” and the chicken sandwich war. Yes, 2019 was weird.

But putting the set together is a bit of a marathon. Starting on December 2, a different card was put up for sale on the Topps website each weekday. However, each has a 24-hour sales window. When time runs out, the cards are made and print runs determined.

The set totals 20 cards with the final pair sold online on December 20.
