2017-Topps-Doctor-Who-Signature-Series-Header

The 2017 Topps Doctor Who Signatures Series autograph checklist combines actors from both the modern series as well as the original. It’s a big checklist with more than 60 different signers, which keeps it in line with other recent pack-based Topps Doctor Who products.

Among those confirmed for the set are David Tennant (The Tenth Doctor), Tom Baker (The Fourth Doctor), James Corden (Craig Owens), Jenna Coleman (Clara Oswald), Billie Piper (Rose Tyler). The late John Hurt was originally announced for the release but was later removed before the set’s final release.

2017 Topps Doctor Who Signature Series Triple Autograph

In addition to base signed cards, there are parallels and multi-signed Dual and Triple Autographs.

2017 Topps Doctor Who Signature Series isn’t all ‘graphs. It has a base set as well. Consisting of 100 cards, it’s entirely character-driven. Parallels are also randomly inserted.

I really wish they made this an on card autograph product. Even relatively recent products produced in the EU had on card autographs.

This might be a reason the last few Topps Dr. Who products ended up being sold on their site at significant discounts, even for stuff supposedly produced in very limited amounts. Topps wide was a flop for them.

Even without short printing, a 70 autograph set means the best ones are not going to be that easy to get and sets will be pretty much impossible to make.

I wish cryptozoic had the license instead, they seem to manage to do their products right.

Still, it will come down to cost per box as well as overall production. If they can keep it under $60/box they will have a quick sell out, but I’m guessing they will ask $100 and have to discount it later.

Congrats to those that got the good ones.
Sadly, it looks like most of the key autos are only
available in the parallel sets, not the “base” set.

    In other words,heavily short printed.
Guess this means I have to pass on it.
