2016 McFarlane Madden 17 Ultimate Team NFL Figures Combine Collectible Toys and Video Games

Skylanders, Amiibos, Disney Infinity (RIP) and a couple of others have bridged the gap between action figures and video games. 2016 McFarlane Madden 17 Ultimate Team NFL figures are taking a different approach, but the idea of getting a collectible toy and enhancing your gamer status (in this case, Madden 17) is still there. And there’s no annoying portal required that clutters up the front of the TV and needs replacing every year.
The initial 2016 McFarlane Madden 17 Ultimate Team NFL figures lineup has seven basic figures. Standing approximately seven-inches tall, they have the same level of detail as traditional Sports Picks.
What makes these figures different is that they come with a Madden 17 redemption code good for seven Madden Ultimate Team Pro-Packs. Used inside the game, each pack has six players plus four items that will make a team better.
The first crop 2016 McFarlane Madden 17 Ultimate Team figures includes the game’s cover star, Rob Gronkowski. He’s one of a couple of Series 1 exclusives, available only at Game Stop.
Gronkowski is joined by his New England teammate, Tom Brady, as the other exclusive. The quarterback’s blue jersey figure can be found at Target. Brady has a white jersey variant that is a chase figure in regular cases.
Other Series 1 figures include Cam Newton, Amari Cooper, DeAndre Hopkins, Odell Beckham Jr, and Todd Gurley. Gurley has a variant chase version as well with running back in his yellow Color Rush uniform.
2016 McFarlane Madden 17 Ultimate Team Series 2 adds five more players including Cowboys rookie, Ezekiel Elliott. Aaron Rodgers, Julio Jones, Ben Roethlisberger and Super Bowl 50 MVP, Von Miller, are the other basic figures. Elliott, Roethlisberger and Miller have chase variants as well.
Early in 2017, Series 3 is slated to arrive with six more figures. Rams quarterback Jared Goff is the lone 2016 rookie in the group. Carson Palmer, Dez Bryant, Antonio Brown, Kirk Cousins and a second Cam Newton are the other figures in the works. The Newton has a new pose.
