2018 San Diego Comic-Con is history. Along with the usual fanfare of autograph signings, Q&A panels, cosplayers, world premiere trailers, and Kevin Smith, some very special exclusives were released to celebrate all things geekdom. From promo cards and sets to very limited Funko Pop Vinyls, the various companies made sure collectors didn’t go home empty-handed.

Topps

Topps offered up a five-card Star Wars promo set that displays some of saga’s most notable characters like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Boba Fett. The cards are done in the classic blue starfield design and come serial numbered to 199 total. Needless to say, it didn’t take long for these to sell out.

Upper Deck

With Marvel Studios The First Ten Years, Upper Deck served up a healthy dose of all things MCU. This 18-card set contains the movie posters of some of the most iconic Marvel films over the last 10 years, including Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Black Panther. Each set comes in its own pack and had an announced print run of 500 sets. This set was also a fast sellout.

Cryptozoic

A hodgepodge of cards from various sets were offered by Cryptozoic, such as a new Cryptkins exclusive P15 Irradiated Cthulhu and convention exclusive packs of Rick and Morty Season 1.

However, the highlight was Outlander Season 3 Wardrobe cards CE1 and CE2 Sam Heughan and CE3 Caitriona Balfe. Each of these were limited to 299.

RRParks

Sharknado! Enough said. This promo card was given out at the end of the Sharknado Panel and is a preview of the RRParks card set that is currently available on Kickstarter. The front contains the familiar shark image while the back touts shark relics and sketch cards as being a part of the set. This product will be the first in what will most likely be multiple series.

Funko

If there is one company that has maintained a dominant presence at SDCC over the last decade, it’s Funko. And while there were plenty of exclusives to choose from, the real fun began on Fun Days. This con-within-a-con takes place on the Friday of Comic-Con weekend and is for the most passionate of Funko collectors. Some of this year’s offerings were Freddy Funko exclusives of Yoda, Lloyd and Harry from Dumb and Dumber, Pennywise, and Danny Zuko from Grease. Funko also introduced its first Pops in the new PEZ line, which were multi-colored variants of Freddy.
