2002 Donruss Super Estrellas Baseball is printed completely in Spanish. This set was actually released mostly in Latin America and parts of the United States with high Hispanic populations. Because of that, there aren’t a ton of these boxes lying around anymore.

The base checklist includes 150 cards, the last 50 of which are a subset called Novato (beginner). They’re short prints. I didn’t actually feature any of the Novato subset here as I didn’t pull any notable names.

The inserts are where this one gets really cool, in my opinion. First, there is a 5″ x 7″ mini poster fin every pack. The other four insert sets look great. All feature Spanish titles, foil fronts, and great designs.

If you come across one of these boxes at a reasonable price, I say buy it. I got lucky and found an eBay auction that ended cheap.

Paquete 24:

Gary Sheffield, Mark Grace, Roberto Alomar & Vicente Padilla Nacion de Origen (1:4 paquetes)

Lastly, the Alomar card back — completely in Spanish.

This was an eBay steal from a couple years back, and it was definitely a fun rip. Based on the paquete (I am going to have a tough time calling them anything else from here on out) odds, this box had a few extra tougher inserts. No complaints here. This release is definitely something different and that is always welcome/ Also, all of the inserts, with their foil fronts, look nice.
