Cheap Wax Wednesday Box Breaks: 1994 Topps Stadium Club Series 2 Football
Are you ready for some football? Finally switching Cheap Wax Wednesday over to football breaks, which will run through the end of the NFL season.
First up, 1994 Topps Stadium Club Series 2. 1994 Stadium Club was split into three releases, Series 1, Series 2 and High Series. Series 1 and 2 have equal 270-card checklists, while High Series has just 90 cards. In addition to the main set, Series 2 also features a full set parallel and two inserts. The parallel, 1st Day Issue, is a Stadium Club staple and signifies the first day’s print run. Dynasty/Destiny pairs a current player with a football legend. Lastly, Ring Leader, the best of the bunch in my opinion, feature an attractive foil finish. These should be found once per box.
As always with ’90s unopened products, there is the risk of bricking and surface damage.

Frequent Scorer Point Cards could be redeemed for a Topps Finest-style Frequent Scorer card. You could send for redemption if you collected Frequent Scorer Points cards of the same player for a combined value of 30 points. So in this case, I would need five 6-point Steve Young cards to redeem.

These Chalk Talk subset cards had some fun artwork on the backs. This Ward card highlighted the fact that he played both basketball and football at FSU.

These Ring Leaders are awesome. Unfortunately, this one sustained some damage from the bricking.
Lastly, the Steve Young card back. Topps went with their skill rating system over stat lines. I don’t love it.
