2023-24 Upper Deck Boston Bruins Centennial tackles not only one of hockey’s most storied franchises, but one in all of sports. Highlighting 100 years of franchise greats, Hall of Famers and memorable moments, the checklist puts a modern twist on the classic team.

Hobby boxes deliver three total autographs, memorabilia cards or autographed memorabilia cards as well as more than a dozen other inserts and parallels.

2023-24 Upper Deck Boston Bruins Centennial Checklist Overview

The base set starts with 100 cards, chronicling Bruins players through the years.

But that’s just the start. Seven thematic subsets are also on the checklist. These combine to land approximately one per pack and include:

  • Retired #s – 1:10 packs
  • Hall of Famers – 1:10 packs
  • Record Holders – 1:7 packs
  • Memorable Moments – 1:4 packs
  • Captains – 1:10 packs
  • Trophy Winners – 1:10 packs
  • Big Bad Bruins – 1:5 packs

All base and subset cards have three levels of serial-numbered parallels: Century (/100), Lucky Green (/25) and Black (1/1). The subsets also have acetate PETG versions that combine to fall one per hobby box. This have a plastic-like appearance.

The regular cards don’t get the acetate treatment but they do have Retro Variants (1:6 packs) that carry a throwback-inspired design.

Autographs and Memorabilia Cards

Autographs come in a handful of forms, the most common of which are Bear Tracks Autographs, which are 1:9 packs. These also have scarce Dual (/35), Triple (/20) and Quad (/10) cards that deliver multiple signatures.

Bobby Orr Ticket to Greatness Autographs are all one-of-a-kind. Not only do they carry a signature from the consensus greatest Bruin ever, but an actual ticket from an important game is embedded in it.

AKA Autos (/49) are another standalone signature set.

Centennial Cloth Relics have single (1:30 packs), dual (1:400 packs), triple (1:600 packs) and quad (1:1,200 packs) spins. Each level also has Premium Materials versions numbered to 49 or fewer copies.

Causeway Seat Relics look to the Boston Garden for their memorabilia. These have pieces of seats from the arena the Bruins and Celtics called home for decades. Standard versions have 28 copies each while autographs are limited to just five.

Causeway Classics (1:100 packs) is another memorabilia insert. Premium Materials parallels have 49 copies.

Additional Inserts

The 2023-24 Upper Deck Boston Bruins Centennial Hockey checklist has a handful of other inserts to round things out.

All-Timers has both regular (1:6 packs) and SP (1:23 packs) players to add a level of challenge to building the set. Gold parallels are 1:23 packs for regular prints and 1:90 for SPs.

Capturing a Champion (1:12 packs), Next in Line (1:15 packs) and Stoppers (1:15 packs) are the other inserts. All three also have Gold versions.

Upper Deck already released a simplified Bruins box set in December, 2023.

I wondered the same thing about how it was different. I just got the set in hand. First difference is that this set is 200 cards. The first 100 cards all have gold bruins and upper deck logos whereas the “box set” has silver logos. Slightly confusing as the “box set” has spectrum color variations which are gold logos but those shine or refract light essentially. That is the only difference I could notice…if anything else someone please point out to me. The bigger difference is cards 101-200 which are all base subset cards so to speak, so harder to pull but not that hard. The other major difference is all the extra auto and memorabilia cards.

I have found many of the checklists that are published by Beckett are incorrect example
card #68 is listed as Danton Heinen and really is Harry Sinden does someone not check these checklists before they are released

Posted checklists come directly from Upper Deck. If they send corrections, I do my best to update them, otherwise it’s based on getting a heads up.

I collect only Al Secord cards. I cannot tell the difference between the Centennial & the Centennial 100th Anniversary Box Set.

    Thank you
