2023-24 Parkhurst Champions Hockey has a definite retro vibe to it. Sometimes it’s resurrecting old designs while other times it’s making something new that strives to recreate a sense of days gone by. When it comes to players, the checklist goes in all directions with the usual vets, a dose of rookies and some big names from the past.

Among the expected contents of every hobby box is either an autograph or memorabilia card. The majority of packs include a standard insert or parallel.

2023-24 Parkhurst Champions Hockey Checklist Overview

Like a lot of Upper Deck’s sets, the base set is divided up into thematic sections and includes some short prints.

The shell set takes up the majority of the checklist at 220 cards. Thirty Rookies are 1:7.5 packs each while 30 Legends are 1:15 packs.

Parallels include:

  • Silver – 1:3 packs, Rookies – 1:30 packs, Legends – 1:60 packs
  • Color Variation – 1:22 packs, Rookies – 1:300 packs, Legends – 1:600 packs
  • Red – /52
  • Black – /10
  • Printing Plates – 1/1

The main set is also the basis for many of the product’s autographs and memorabilia cards. For base, there are Autographs (1:60 packs), Jersey (1:120 packs, Rookies – 1:340 packs), Patch (/25), Auto Patch (/25, Rookies – /35) and Blue Autographs (/15).

Rookie SPs have Autographs (1:180 packs), Jersey (1:240 packs), Auto Patch (/35) and Blue Autographs (/25).

Base Legends hits are tough with Autographs landing 1:720 packs and Jerseys 1:1,500 packs. There are also Blue Autographs (/15), Premium Relics (/10) and Auto Premium Memorabilia (/10).

Autographs and Other Inserts

The 2023-24 Parkhurst Champions Hockey checklist goes back to some of the earliest Parkhurst days with ’52 Retros. These draw their inspiration from 1952-53 Parkhurst Hockey as far as its minimalist design goes only with updated players. Standard versions are 1:8 packs with Gold Rainbow (1:40 packs) and Printing Plates (1/1) available as well as Autographs (1:360 packs, Rookies – 1:360 packs, Legends – 1:1,920 packs) and Red Autographs (/5).

Wire Images (1:34 packs) return, channeling the days of newspaper photos providing many people with the only shots they’d see from games. Gold (/349) and Printing Plates (1/1) make up the parallels with some cards also getting Autographs (/15).

The checklist has a couple of tough inserts. Legendary Captains (1:1,200 packs) highlight some of the best to ever where the ‘C’ on the front of their jersey. Original Six Retros take a tiered approach with common versions landing 1:480 packs and short prints 1:2,160.

New insert themes include Goal Driven (1:15 packs), Burnin’ Rubber (1:17 packs) and Daddy-O Flows (1:25 packs). These all have Gold (/349) and Printing Plates (1/1) versions as well as scarce Autographs.
