2020 Topps Now Turn Back the Clock Baseball is essentially “Topps Then.” It takes the daily, print-on-demand concept of traditional Topps Now sets and jumps back in time. Events from specific dates are commemorated on cards.

2020 Topps Turn Back the Clock Baseball 4 Ken Griffey Jr.

Each is sold just 24 hours through the Topps website. When the clock runs out, they’re no longer available. Those who missed out are left to the secondary market.

Topps is adding a small chase element to 2020 Topps Now Turn Back the Clock as well with randomly inserted parallels. Cards have Cherry (/7) and White Ash (/3) versions. Collectors can’t order them directly. Rather, they’re included among the orders. Parallels do replace the regular base version in the order. These additions were announced starting with card #17 Bob Feller.

For longtime collectors, the wood grain design will probably seem familiar. That’s because it’s based on the “Turn Back the Clock” subset from 1987 Topps Baseball. It’s not an exact carry over, but there are many common elements.

2020 Topps Now Turn Back the Clock Baseball cards cost $9.99 each when buying directly from the manufacturer. Discounts are available for lots of five, ten and 20 copies of the same card. For those looking for singles, eBay is an alternative, even during the sales window. Some dealers purchase in bulk and offer singles for around $5 each as long as they’re still available from Topps.
