2019 Panini Passing the Torch Football Arriving as Online-Exclusive

2019 Panini Passing the Torch Football takes the iconic autograph inserts and transforms it into a full standalone release. For the line’s debut, it’s releasing as an online-exclusive through Panini’s website.

Hobby boxes come with five cards, three of which are autographs.

2019 Panini Passing the Torch Football Base Set Basics

Base cards take a bit of a different approach in the product. While they still stand on their own, highlighting a current or retired player, two players can be put together using the torch icons in the center. These mini puzzle pairings are meant to showcase the transformation and evolution of the game.

The base set does have parallels, with one landing in each box.

Signatures in 2019 Passing the Torch cover veterans, rookies and retired players.

Rookie Evolution Autographs have a pair of pictures. An NFL shot is in the forefront with an image from their time in college sitting in the background.

Apprentice Ink (/99 or less) is another place to find first-year signatures. These have Silver (/50 or less), Gold (/25 or less), Green (/5 or less) and Platinum (1/1) parallels.

The checklist for Torchbearer Autographs is only legends.

Every fourth box of 2019 Passing the Torch Football has a multi-signature card. These begin with Passing the Torch Dual Autographs. These are like the first Passing the Torch cards, which have two players, one on each side. The concept here is showcasing players from different eras and generations. Print runs on these dual autographs are low, with a maximum of 15 copies each.

There are also Passing the Torch Triple and Quad Autographs that have three and four signatures.

Parallels for multi-signed cards are Gold (/10 or less) and one-of-one Platinum.
