2016 Topps Strata Baseball Checklist and Details
2016 Topps Strata Baseball looks to be a lot like last year. From the design to the configuration, not much has changed for the sophomore release of the brand as a standalone set.
Every card in 2016 Topps Strata Baseball is either an autograph or game-used memorabilia card with one of each per box. And like last year, the layered card constructions and swatches that can be traced back to the game they were used help make it different from other baseball products.
Memorabilia Cards
Clearly Authentic memorabilia cards remove the mystery of where the relic pieces originated. Each of the cards comes with full verification from MLB Authenticated. This means a sticker on every card that can be entered and tracked to show that not only did a particular player use it but when as well.
The main cards have Blue (/99), Green (/75), Black (/50) and Gold (/25) parallels. Red versions come in several forms, each of which is a one-of-one. Red parallels have premium pieces of gear like buttons, button holes, MLB Silhouetted Batter logo patches, Majestic logo patches and laundry tags.
In addition to uniforms, there are also Clearly Authentic Baseball versions that have pieces of game-used balls. These are numbered to three.
Autographs
Clearly Authentic Autographed Relics in 2016 Topps Strata Baseball follow the same verification process. The also have the same mix of parallels including multiple Red one-of-ones. There aren’t ball versions of the signed cards.
Basic Strata Autographs flip to a horizontal orientation this year. Signed on-card, they have Orange (/125), Blue (/99), Green (/75), Black (/50), Gold (/25) and Red (1/1) parallels.
Strata Signature Patch cards put the shadowbox designs into full effect. A large patch is at the bottom of the card with multiple layers and images layered over top including the one with the signature. Base versions are numbered to 25 while Gold parallels have five copies each.
One-of-one Rivet parallels return. These can be fanned open to show the various layers. Topps also claims that the patches on these cards are the best ones available for the product.
2016 Topps Strata Baseball rounds out with Dual Autographs (/5) and Cut Signatures (1/1).

Nice.
Would love to have the mlb stickers on their dynasty cards
I mean on all dynasty cards not just the select few they put them on
I’ve been waiting 2 1/2 years for my 2014 Canseco Strata redemption, so I’m glad he is in this set (yet still wondering where my Canseco is?!)
If anyone pulls any rare Canseco cards out of this, please email me at tanmanbaseballfan@gmail.com – thanks so much!

I pulled a CAAR in a black parallel 1/50. Which the relic is a laundry tag. Do you know if that is common for black? I’m only finding laundry tags in red parallel. Would appreciate feedback.
