Beckett Media alum Tracy Hackler went poking around the building during his first day of work at Panini America … if you can call it work.
Here’s what he found.
The basketball fans of the bunch will undoubtedly be jealous.
Jealous doesn’t quite capture it. Really annoyed is more like it. Does someone sit there with scissors and cut tiny squares out of a Kevin McHale warm up jacket to put in small rectangles of cardboard? That seems so crazy. What a waste of a perfectly good piece of sports memorabilia.
I haven’t seen a posting yet or had a chance to email Tracy, but has a winner been announced from the Topps football sketch card contest?
I’ll handle the sketch contest when it ends.
As for Panini, there’s a crew who takes apart the items at the seams and then the swatch-making is done via a machine depending on specs needed.
Hackler doesn’t work for Beckett anymore. No more videos of him. Take him off the Twitter tracker. Deal with it – he’s gone.
