Do you call yourself the biggest Alabama Crimson Tide fan? You aren’t without this…

The 16-foot wide logo from the floor of the national champions’ locker room from Bryant-Denny Stadium is up for grabs — and already has hit $7,600 on the auction block with more than six weeks remaining. (Click here to view the auction.)

The 13-time national champions have a partnership with Steiner Sports to bring game-used and other memorabilia to collectors (much like the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys). The floor logo is just the latest to be found in the “Alabama Collectibles by Steiner Sports” offerings.

The carpet was used from 2006-09 — including the team’s latest national championship — and the Crimson Tide’s players are only permitted on the logo during  pregame and postgame speeches, after victories, and during team prayers.

Among the game-used memorabilia available from Steiner are game-used jerseys, game-used footballs and autographs from Crimson Tide greats like Joe Namath, Bart Starr, Shaun Alexander, coach Nick Saban and many others.  (Oh, and if you want something really unusual, there’s always the freeze-dried sod display taken straight from the turf at Bryant-Denny.)

In other Crimson Tide news, the football team’s national championship will be highlighted on the No. 00 Toyota driven by David Reutimann in the Aaron’s 499 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway on April 25. His Camry will be decked out in Crimson and White and will sport the national champions logo on the hood.

And, yes, diecast replicas are already available.

This Alabama alum believes it to be the first diecast with Crimson Tide ties since an Alabama-themed Tide detergent Hot Wheels 1:24 diecast of the Ford driven by Scott Pruett at Talladega in 2000. (I could be wrong; let me know.)

That diecast, which was a relatively simple and inexpensive retail toy, was a hot seller among Crimson Tide and NASCAR collectors. (I know, because all of the ones I had are long gone…)
