Earlier this year, Upper Deck included the above card in its 2009 Baseball set as one of nine Historic Firsts Predictors insert cards.

And if the prediction comes true and the International Olympic Committee selects Chicago as the host city for the 2016 Summer Games on Friday, Upper Deck will be coughing up some cardboard.

As in a free pack of baseball cards to fans across the country.

Chicago, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo are in the running for the Games.

Details will be announced on the company’s website, UpperDeck.com, if Chicago wins.

I’m not going anywhere into the city while that’s going on in 2016, if Chicago gets the Olympics. I’ll take the free baseball cards as a consolation for screwing up daily commute in 2016.

What, like the free* Obama card they gave away a few months ago (*with the purchase of four packs)?

And everyone in Chicago can relax. The two weeks the Olympics were in Atlanta were the two most traffic-free weeks that city has ever had. It only sucked if the road you took to work every day was blocked causing you to have to go 50 miles out of your way. Stupid Conyers horse park.
