GPK Icons: New Wave Dave – Beckett Pricing Insider

The original Garbage Pail Kids created some great caricatures from the 1980s. However, I feel none are more significant than New Wave Dave. While Adam Bomb represented the Cold War and Dead Ted captured the zombie film genre, New Wave Dave is an allegory of the MTV generation. After all, when the first series of GPK was released, MTV had only been in existence for four years. Feel old yet?
