A Chevy Tahoe with a hood signed by more than 200 major league baseball players, prospects and Hall of Famers will be auctioned in January as part of AutoTrader.com’s Drive to a New Start community outreach program.

The item will be sold during the Barrett-Jackson Specialty Car Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Among the star autographs are Derek Jeter, Ryan Howard, Mariano Rivera, Francisco Rodriguez, Vladimir Guerrero, Carlos Zambrano, Chipper Jones, Barry Zito and Tim Lincecum. But players from eight teams — the Angels, Giants, Yankees, Phillies, Cubs, Braves, Mets and Padres –- also signed.

Want Hall of Famers? It was signed by Yogi Berra, Bob Gibson, Ozzie Smith, Tom Seaver, Whitey Ford and Goose Gossage among others during its trip to Cooperstown.  All signatures on the hood were authenticated by Steiner Sports.

“It was a real thrill to be involved with this program during my Hall of Fame induction year,” said Gossage, who helped collect the autographs. “Touring the country, collecting these signatures and helping kids learn about baseball was all very rewarding.  I’m excited to see what this unique collectible fetches at auction in January.  It’s definitely going to make the lucky winner very happy.”

Proceeds from the auction will also be donated to youth baseball programs. The automobile sports Rawlings leather seats as well as a baseball themed steering wheel and an ash baseball bat dashboard and door panels.
