2023 Topps Stadium Club Baseball Variations offer more stellar photos, albeit with much tougher odds and an added chase.

A total of 51 cards have SSP versions that use different images but otherwise look like regular base cards. Veteran stars, rookies, retired legends and even a hobby personality get the variation treatment.

That personality? Alan Narz, owner of Big League Cards in Florida. Narz has worked with Topps in a variety of roles over the years, including running Pack Wars at the Topps booth during the National Sports Collectors Convention. His card is separate from the other 2023 Topps Stadium Club Baseball Variations as far as odds go.

The initial product information said that variations have 200 copies each. That said, they’re not serial numbered.

Image Variations are 1:216 hobby packs, 1:216 hobby compact packs and 1:460 blaster packs. The Narz SSP is 1:5,639 hobby and 1:5,596 hobby compact packs. It’s not available in blasters.

Design Variations

It’s not just Image Variations in 2023 Stadium Club Baseball. Select base cards on the checklist get a retro makeover with 1991 Design Variations and 1992 Rookie Design Variations.

These are simple to spot because they go with the different layouts, not photos.

1991 Design Variations

According to Topps’ initial release information, 1991 Design Variations have 200 copies each while the 1992 Rookies have 92.

2023 Topps Stadium Club Baseball Codes to Know

Because simply having a standout photograph isn’t enough to tell an SSP from a base card in 2023 Stadium Club, you might be wondering if the codes on the back work.

They do.

To use them, just go to the end of the CMP code in the fine print. Base cards and variations have different numbers at the end. Here are the three you need to know for Image Variations:

  • Base – 163
  • Variations – 208
  • Alan Narz – 498
