Beckett Sports Card Hot / Cold – April 15, 2024
Welcome to another installment of Beckett Sports Card Hot/Cold where we take quick and fun look at what’s and what’s not in the worlds of sports and sports cards.
In case you hadn’t heard, 2024 Topps Heritage Baseball has arrived. Typically one of the most collected sets for the sport each year, the line has reached the mid ’70s. In addition to the retro designs, there’s the usual deep checklist of on-card autographs and variations. Not all of the errors this year are intentional, though.
Hagen Danner even tried to warn Topps:
Definitely not even close to being me. What do we got @Topps?? Told you guys it wasn’t me and still released😂😂 https://t.co/XI779gsK6u

The other big news for baseball was Jackson Holliday getting called up to the Orioles. The first overall pick in 2022, he entered the season as the game’s top prospect and makes an already potent young Baltimore lineup even more potent.
Mookie Betts has carried a strong spring training into the regular season. He’s currently in the top 10 in MLB for average, home runs and RBI. While he’s had autographs in Leaf products recently — including bowling — Betts hasn’t had a MLB-licensed autograph in almost a decade.
Does Beckett still put out a paper edition? If so,why can’t I find one. Hate wasting my time online.
Yes. Magazines are available at some card shops as well as Barnes and Noble. They can also be ordered here: https://www.beckettmedia.com/
