From best to worst, here's my list of when to end a product year:I am honestly surprised they aren't canceling 2022 products now - the 2023 Draft Class is going to be so much bigger from a collector standpoint (on the other hand, Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Wil Levis, and Anthony Richardson the four projected First Round Quarterbacks all have multiple cards - indeed, the only one I do not already have an autograph card of is Young - I literally paid $3 for a Leaf auto of Anthony Richardson and I mainly bought it because he plays for Florida, a team I collect).
1. End of Super Bowl
2. End of league year
3. End of calendar year
4. End before the first next year product
5. End before the NFL draft
But I guess as long as there are degenerate gamblers willing to pay into box and case breaks
Speaking of degenerate gamblers, obviously, the NFL and online sportsbook sponsored sports talking heads never learned that the more you talk and the more you go out of your way to not look suspicious the more you look guilty.
The NFL places too much power in the hands of unaccountable refs - they are clearly applying different rules for "stars" and regular players (see that nice push off by A.J. Brown on the long touchdown pass? If the Eagles won, it would be fun to see how the NFL defended that) - their rules are such that refs essentially can call penalties whenever they want or not call penalties whenever they want - they have catch rules that are more complex than the Internal Revenue Code. And their response is to defend the refs no matter what.
This is simply not going to end well.
