Fake RGIII on eBay

Fake RGIII on eBay
FYI guys, here's an auction for a Topps Platinum RGIII rookie die cut auto. Looks almost legit except for the fact it's supposed to be serially numbered to 1/1 at the bottom left in the front of the card. Tsk tsk...

Not to mention the lint that's stuck behind the sticker on the right. Looks like they didn't think to make sure the sticker didn't have dirt behind and outside of the sticker when putting it on.

Shame shame. Also the bottom right on the back which would be the bottom left on the front, doesn't display the same card damage (corner ding). Shame on them.

There's some nice bubbling on the sticker too.

The only auto available for this particular card is a 1/1 and it would be stamped on the front, on the bottom a little to the left. This card clearly has no stamping whatsoever, also the bubbles and lint under the sticker kind of give it away. Makes me sick seeing fakes being auctioned off to otherwise unknowing bidders!

I just noticed this...

if you click on the card in the beckett OPG database and bring up it's attributes, it says the autograph is on-card. In the picture on the auction, it clearly shows a sticker.

WOW!!!

A little research goes a long way.

Man, and to think they ruined an actual RGIII auto card to make this hack job.... That's one less real RGIII auto card some collection could have for his collection Sad
